Built for Art Exhibits
Let the room
pick the winner.
Placrd handles registration, entry fees, and audience voting for art shows: each piece gets a QR placard, guests vote from their phones, and you announce winners with the count already settled.
No card required.
The parts that go sideways
Every art exhibit has the same failure points. Placrd removes them before the day starts.
- Slips of paper read as arbitrary
- Every ballot is screened, and the count carries its evidence. Guests trust a result they can see moving.
- Counting at close keeps everyone waiting
- Results land live as guests vote. Winners are ready before the reception ends.
- Intake happens over email chains
- Structured entries with photos and fees, collected before opening night.
How it works
Open entries with photos and fees
Artists register online with images of their work; fees are collected at submission.
Every piece gets a QR placard
Placards hang beside the work with a scannable code that opens its ballot.
Guests vote, results settle live
The count moves as the room votes. Announce winners with nothing left to tally.
The proof
How the vote stays honest
Anyone can promise a fair vote. Here is what actually enforces ours.
- One device, one vote
- Every ballot is tied to the device that cast it. Second attempts are refused, not counted twice.
- Bots get bounced
- Automated voting trips rate limits, bot checks, and too-fast-to-be-human timing gates before it ever reaches the count.
- Suspicious patterns get flagged
- Coordinated voting patterns are flagged for the organizer to review, with the evidence attached.
- Offline votes follow the same rules
- Votes cast on dead venue wifi sync later and pass through exactly the same checks as every other ballot.
Cast a vote on the demo ballot and watch the count move. No account needed.
